Every person has his or her own character, good things and also bad things. It makes us who we are, it is part of our personality. This also applies to small imperfections and blemishes on our skin. It makes your skin unique and personal.
A perfect skin without skin blemishes smaller or larger does not exist. It is of course removed should be a different story if the skin spots on medical advice, but that's obvious.
How do you get skin spots?
There are many possible reasons that can cause a skin patch, or worse. In some cases, the skin spots may be congenital, in other cases it may be a result of a change in your hormone balance. The latter is often an item during puberty or during pregnancy. Women who are pregnant, we know for example the so-called pregnancy mask. These are all forms of skin blemishes that you can do little against it, and where you need to do to much.
Another cause of skin blemishes is the sun, or rather the UV radiation from the sun. Against what do you DO.
It is known that the sun, or rather the UV radiation from the sun, a major cause of skin blemishes can be. Skin Sunspots are often benign, but when excessive sunbathing may experience problems and may develop into a dangerous skin stain. Unfortunately, it still happens far too often, despite all the information. Information which clearly shows that a good sun protection is of vital importance.
Think a look at recommendations for the use of an appropriate sunscreen, umbrellas, UV-resistant T-shirts and wearing hats. Also, it is well known that you should not expose to the sun when it is at its strongest, ie roughly between 12:00 and 15:00. All of the sun things that can help us against skin damage and all its possible consequences.
Different skin blemishes
As mentioned earlier, in most cases, skin blemishes quite harmless in nature. To give you an idea of skin spots in principle decides not dangerous, I'll give you just a summary of the most common:
Liver spots
Liver spots are, contrary to what many people think, absolutely nothing to do with the liver. The only similarity is there, is the color. Liver spots are very characteristic, liver brown color. Another name that you sometimes encounter is "age spots." This name comes from the fact that these spots often occur in old age. The spots are in the majority of cases harmless.
In addition to the previously discussed color, you can identify liver spots on the large size (up to several centimeters in size) and the whimsical shape they have. Sometimes it happens that liver spots, especially the spots on the face, to develop malignant pigment cells. If this is the case, we speak of a beginning of a so-called melanoma. This stage can be identified by the capricious pigment colors, and of course the freakish form.
So it is very important to liver spots, especially in the face, right to monitor or possibly check regularly to make.
Melanoma / Pregnancy Mask
As I've said before, hormone changes can have a strong influence on the formation and disappearance of skin blemishes. A good example is the so-called pregnancy mask.
Under the influence of the altered hormone levels during the pregnancy extra pigment, there can be formed in the face somewhat erratic formed, brown stains caused. A change in hormone levels following the contraceptive pill may be a cause, but this is rare. After pregnancy the pregnancy mask will pretty quickly disappear as the hormones are all back in balance.
Sebaceous Cyst
They look like moles but turn out not to be so. I am talking about so-called sebaceous gland cysts. This is a harmless swelling under the skin caused by the fact that a sebaceous gland can not get rid of the sebum produced. In fact there is a big blackhead.
Note: This should you decide NOT express, as you would perhaps do with a "normal" blackhead. Expressing can ensure that the subcutaneous cyst breaks, which can cause serious infections. Make an appointment with your doctor. This can ensure that the Sebaceous Gland Cyst in a simple way, is removed surgically.
Stemmed Fibroid
This is known as skin tags. Despite this designation has to do anything with warts. They are relatively harmless abnormalities of the skin. The emergence of these fibroids is most common in old age, and especially in skin folds such as the armpits and groin. The moment you experience these, you can report to the doctor.
This can remove the clipped fibroid in a relatively simple manner. There are also other types of fibroid, which are hard bumps forms and deeper into the skin. These come in many cases on the legs.
Overdecorates
Because these skin blemishes will only be revealed over the years, but these are also called a "wisdom warts. There are cases of people who have literally hundreds. Fortunately, this is a very harmless condition that is easily remedied. The spots look like melanoma, and are often confused with it.
They are irregular in shape and color, and can be quite large. The deviation is a little on top of the skin, and thus they are fairly easy to remove. Remove it, if you would like, is done with a CO2 laser or with a round, surgical knife. By a doctor, that is! Go do not medicate, and go all not scratch at all!
Birthmarks
Moles we generally have it all. Did you know that 40 years young Dutchman has on average about 40 moles?Contrary to what is commonly claimed, most moles are not present from the beginning to the skin.
As the years leads to more moles until the age of 45 is reached. In the following period, they disappear. Whether or not this also has to do with the hormones, the menopause, is not entirely clear. Birthmarks are harmless, but it is important to keep an eye on them. A very small proportion of the moles can develop into a malignant mole in the form of a melanoma.
You can check them regularly, or check leave, by paying attention to the shape and color. As long as this remains constant and does not go the bleeding moles or puncture, there is nothing to worry about. Once this is the case, please contact your physician. This will most likely remove the birthmark, and to investigate whether there is a melanoma or not. The sooner you let this investigation, the better it is.
Freckles
Freckles occur particularly in the face and is composed of a high concentration of pigment cells. Unlike a birthmark, freckles can not develop into a malignant melanoma. The big difference between these two is the fact that no pigment cells include moles and freckles correct only consist of pigment cells.
Pigment cells can not develop into a melanoma. Freckles are also a part of your personality, a part of who you are. Some people have freckles removed with a laser treatment because they find it "not nice." Having freckles is a signal that you should keep your skin extra eye. You are more susceptible to other skin blemishes, benign or malignant.
Do you have an increased risk?
To introduce yourself comfortable: Really malignant diseases of the skin is fortunately not so terribly common. On the other hand there is an increasing trend, but that is due to the unwise sunbathing, a cause of skin problems that you have in hand.
Of course remains prevention is better than cure, so it is wise to regularly check your own body, or have it checked by your partner. This is especially true if you fall into any of the following risk groups:
- In your family come malignant skin diseases for
- In the past you very much, and very unwise, used the sun
- You have moles that 'restless' being
- You have a lot of moles, whether or not combined with freckles
Finally…
If you see a change in your existing skin blemishes, immediately contact your GP. This can then remove the stain and send it for further research.
My advice: Go very wise to sunbathe with it, because that is, and remains, the biggest cause of malignant skin blemishes.
Prevention is much better than cure!
